Nat'l Wildlife Refuge...
is located on a peninsula and serves as a primary winter home for
the nearly extinct whooping crane. Whooping Crane boat tours are
available. The refuge also provides a suitable home for migrating passerines, shorebirds, waterfowl, and area wildlife.

Goose Island State Park...
provides tent and trailer camping on this 307 acre park. The park
also provides: picnic sites, open shelters, restrooms with showers,
fishing pier, and a boat ramp. Be sure to visit "The Big Tree"
while in the area; a giant oak tree,
1000 years old.

Fulton Mansion...
was built in 1876. This prolific 4
story, 29-room mansion takes you back to a time when the prosperity
of the Texas cattle industry was at a peak. The mansion’s facilities,
along with its serene and well-kept grounds, are available for weddings,
portraits, and reunions.

Rockport Center for the Arts...
is
home to over 150 area artist, some of national acclaim. It is
housed in a remarkable 19th century home and offers workshops
and classes to artisans of every medium to include literary, performing,
and visual arts. The center is located on the Navigational Grounds at
Rockport Harbor in the museum district.

of Connie Hagar" developed this TXDOT roadside stop on 35N a tourist focus,
by creating the 3 gardens: the pond, the hummingbird and butterfly garden, and the
fruit and berry producing garden. The gardens are proudly maintained by the
"Friends of Connie Hagar."

Texas Maritime Museum...
captures the old and new. It is a fun, learning experience in
maritime history as it relates to our great state of Texas and our
reliance upon the sea. Clever interactive displays and regularly scheduled
exhibits abound.

sits on Aransas Bay and is harbor to a variety of water and fishing
